Gross Misdemeanor DWI

I totally recommend Matt Olsen as an attorney. He was strongly recommended by a close friend and family I’ve known. I’ve always had public defenders throughout the past. First time ever hiring a private attorney at age 27. I was nervous and confused but immediately made me feel like I was protected.... I quickly Realized it was a hell of a difference. He got me 1-2 years probation instead of 3. He was able to get me off doing jail time and most importantly he was able to get my girlfriends vehicle released that had been forfeited by police which I didn’t imagine it was possible to get back. Had a great experience!

Staying out of jail

My husband had been badly burned and poisoned by radiation treatments that were set too high. Right after being hospitalized, Covid restrictions hit. I was no longer able to see him while he was hospitalized. The treatments left my husband in a very confused state fearing everyone was trying to hu...rt him. As a result while trying to get free of his nursing staff my understanding is he injured one of the nurses who ended up filing charges. It took a lot of time and effort to convince the prosecutor to drop the charges against my husband who would have ended up in jail unable to defend or care for himself. I can never Thank Matt enough for taking the case and not giving up or settling for a lesser charge. I would highly recommend Matt Olson if you find yourself being charged with a crime guilty or not. His fees were very reasonable especially considering the amount of work and time taken in getting the charges dropped.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
