Working with Lawson has caused nothing but headaches for me and my ex wife. He has done nothing to diffuse any situations between us and has been very misleading to my ex which in turn has caused this case to be dragged out longer. He gave us hope he was unable to carry out. He not to my surprise has... been reprimanded by the board for the same reason.

PROS Mr. Lawson has a kind personality and over 30 yrs experience. Seemed to be a good listener and had argued similar cases in the past. Seemed "street-smart," which, in lawyer terms, means he knows how to fight. CONS He was moderately knowledgeable on my dispute, but left me with a feeling o...f " a little knowledge is a dangerous thing." Mainly, I felt his approach/style to my problem was wrong. Costs were VERY front heavy compared to firms/ lawyers that even sub-specialize in our area of interest. Other firms had $1000 retainer compared to his which was way over that with no refund of any over-pay like other firms. Pricing is not published on the website and seems very nebulous. ( felt like if you wear nice shoes you'll get charged more). He likes a lump sum up front for taking a case that may or may not turn out to be much work at all. The fact that he had a past reprimand by the state was a turn off ( Official documents are viewable online. Basically knowingly misled and overcharged a client over 20 yrs ago).
