Do NOT hire for Unemployment

He did just an awful job of understanding my case. I did not feel confident ever throughout the process that I had a chance. No detail or specifics were a concern as he just wanted to get my hearing over with. I know nothing of law and yet I found myself shaking my head in embarrassment multiple tim...es during the litigation. When I asked questions regarding the hearing, his responses were vague answers that were not helpful. I feel I would have done better on my own and I mean that.

Mr. Wangberg admits he knows nothing of the law. Unemployment hearings are by telephone generally for one hour. We were together in my office and he could have said or given me a note on any point but I have no recollection oh him doing that. We met for preparation prior to the phone hearing where the judge does most of the questioning. Mr. Wangberg did well but it is an adversarial process with one winner and one loser. I am sorry that Mr. Wangberg lost and I wish him well.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
