Biography
Jerry is now Of Counsel with SchindelSegal, PLLC. Coming from a very broad and general legal background, his practice now centers on sexual harrassment, employment and commericial litigation. He is designated as a Super Lawyer every year since 2003, as published by Minnesota Law and Politics. Jerry has the highest legal and ethical rating, AV, and the Client Distinction award by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Among a small select group he is dual board certified as a Civil Trial Specialist and a Labor and Employment Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has had extensive trial experience since being admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 1967. He was selected as a Leading Minnesota Attorney in Alternative Dispute Resolution for employment law, commercial litigation, and personal injury.
As a Special Assistant Attorney General, he litigated state tax cases in 1968 and 1969. Since then he has tried cases in a variety of areas, including sexual harassment, contracts, securities, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, patent and trademark, criminal, dealer termination and wrongful termination.
Jerry has tried many complex employment and commercial cases and has argued numerous cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court. This includes the precedent setting sexual harassment case of Kenneh v. Homeward Bound which makes it easier for a victim to obtain a jury trial.
Some of the cases he handled have been written about in local and national legal periodicals. An author of numerous legal articles, he also lectured widely at legal education seminars to lawyers. Sexual harassment, trade secret litigation, legal malpractice, non-compete agreements, and whistleblowing are some of the subjects of these articles and lectures.

He did just an awful job of understanding my case. I did not feel confident ever throughout the process that I had a chance. Replied last May 08, 2017Mr. Wangberg admits he knows nothing of the law. Unemployment hearings are by telephone generally for one hour. We were together in my office and he could have said or given me a note on any point but I have no recollection oh him doing that. We met for preparation prior to the phone hearing where the judge does most of the questioning. Mr. Wangberg did well but it is an adversarial process with one winner and one loser. I am sorry that Mr. Wangberg lost and I wish him well.
