Outstanding, Caring and Determined

I was exceptionally fortunate to have Valerie Arnold represent me during an extremely complex international separation and custody case dealing with challenging jurisdictional issues. The favorable outcome that the court ordered exemplified the knowledge, empathy, and determination that Valerie demon...strated to me since the first day. She went above and beyond to educate me on the process, explain in simple terms some legal theories that could be applied, and even used her French language abilities to hold consultations and establish a path forward. As the legal Motions were set in play, Valerie was equally determined to ensure that I have quality time with my kids who were wrongly removed from me as their father. Valerie was prompt to respond during a weekend visitation with my kids to quickly establish a supervision service so that I could spend additional time with my kids. Separation from my kids and divorce has been the most difficult time of my life and I am forever grateful for Valerie and her firm’s tireless and meticulous efforts to seek out justice, restore my parental rights, and obtain the favorable court ordered outcome. I enthusiastically recommend Valerie Arnold and her firm without hesitation.

Outstanding International Divorce and Child Custody Practice

From the very first appointment with Valerie I knew my complicated international divorce case was in best hands. Valerie and her team supported me in every step of this complex process with highest professionalism, patience and understanding while dealing with matters involving engagements in Europe ...and the US. Valerie´s international competence and experience was vital. She dedicated time to understand all cultural and personal particularities at hand. Valerie was always available, regardless of continental time differences. She acts with integrity and commitment. Valerie genuinely knows and cares about the impact a divorce has on one’s children an always helps with recommendations and finding positive solutions. I could not have wished for a better attorney to support me through this situation. I recommend Valerie with highest respect and appreciation!

Excellent International Divorce Attorney

My international divorce was too much for the first attorney I hired. The case was complex involving European and US divorce laws, procedures and jurisdictions. Fortunately, I found Valerie Arnold. Valerie is very competent. She has an international practice and her Hague Convention experience w...as relevant to my case. She can handle the extra ambiguity associated with divorce proceedings in two countries. Valerie developed the case strategy for both jurisdictions with the support of a local attorney in Europe. She helped me to seek the most appropriate jurisdiction for each subject in my case. Valerie has a well- organized and responsive supporting team. They were a pleasure to work with during a stressful process. I highly recommend Valerie Arnold.

Wonderful attorney, an even more wonderful person

I would highly recommend Valerie Arnold’s legal services if you have the misfortune of divorcing a personality-disordered individual and/or have found yourself in a "high conflict" intractable divorce. Until I hired Valerie, I didn’t think it would be possible to have any calm and peace of mind unti...l my children aged out of the family court system; my ex exploited the family court system to maintain control over my children and I and kept us under constant attack. Unlike my prior attorneys, Valerie very much understands these personalities/abusers and the gaps in family court which they exploit to maintain control over, and presence in the, the lives of their victims. For the first time, I felt my children and I had hope and could be protected. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Valerie and her tremendous skill set. Valerie has integrity (I know, a word not often associated with lawyers!), she is extremely talented, she is articulate and well-spoken, she is able to understand and distill complex fact patterns and communicate them to court and court personnel in an understandable manner (wading through all the smoke and mirrors and getting to the essence of the problem), she is trauma-informed, and her heart and focus are in the right place: making sure to the best of her ability that your children can emerge unscathed, healthy and appropriately and well-taken care of. It takes a very special lawyer to handle and manage these horrendous divorce/post-divorce situations and Valerie is such an attorney. (I'd give her far more than 5 stars if it were possible, she is simply on a different--and much higher--scale than any other attorney I've worked with.)

A very long and tough case...

Prior to hiring Valerie Arnold at Arnold, Rodman & Kretchmer, P.A. I interviewed 3 attorneys. I knew my case would be difficult and I was determined to find not only a great attorney who knew the law and the process but also someone who would care about me, and more importantly, my children. Furthe...rmore, I was looking for someone who would have experience with children and families on the Autism Spectrum. After meeting Mrs. Arnold for the first consultation, I realized she was the one I could trust with my divorce and custody battle. Her professionalism and very open and hones demeanor were evident -all in a very personable way. She did not speak in purely legal terms, but explained everything to me in layman's terms. Before I left the first consultation she made sure I had all my questions answered in a way I understood. What was striking in that first visit is that I truly felt that she was listening to me. She wasn't just thinking of me as just another client or case, she was interested in learning about our situation and understanding what the issues were. She was factual, very knowledgeable in all the areas my case required, very resourceful and prompt. She had a very good understanding and experience of kids on the Spectrum, their families, and the unique dynamics that the families on the Spectrum deal with. Mrs. Arnold made me feel so comfortable in our meetings that I left feeling I was talking to someone I had known for years. I felt comfortable and understood. To say that my case got complicated as it progressed is an understatement. It turned out to be a very ugly and tough divorce, and it lasted over 2 years. Throughout that time, Mrs. Arnold and all her staff showed complete dedication, professionalism, knowledge, promptness, efficiency, and compassion. There is no question in my mind Mrs Arnold went the extra mile in many occasions. In moments of difficulty, Mrs. Arnold remained focused and devoted to the case as if it had just started. She returned phone calls and emails in a very timely way. Even when my timing wasn't ideal for her, she always returned my calls/emails promptly. Her ability to communicate to her colleagues and clients is admirable to say the least. She is assertive and articulated and get her point across clearly, directly, and respectfully -a quality that not all attorneys share. No amount of money could ever compensate her diligence and effort. I've learned to this process that to be a great family attorney, one needs to be a good human being first. Mrs Arnold certainly meets and exceeds this criteria. I appreciate to no end her commitment to my children and to our family . She is a very knowledgeable, tough attorney, with great ethical and noble values. These years have been the toughest I have lived through so far, and I know I could not have done it without her professional support and true commitment. It was the constant many ways she sowed she cares that made a difference during hard times. Although I wish we had met in a different situation, I can honestly say it has been an honor to have known her.
