MTC Injury Lawsuit

Douglas Nepp was my attorney in an injury lawsuit against Twin Cites Metro Transit (MTC). In that accident, I received a life long back injury through bus driver negligence.> When trial date was received, I found it would occur during my annual winter vacation out of state. To return early could hav...e been done only at great expense and inconvenience.> Attny. Nepp was informed by letter I could not attend on that date and instructed to request a postponement>> He refused> At trial, Judge asked Attny. Nepp where his client was> To this Attny. Nepp stated he did not know. (transcript record)> After a half hour wait, Judge dismissed case with predjudice, meaning it could not be reopened. > Attny. Nepp had earlier advised this plaintiff to settle for an offer of $6,000, payment of all medical bills, and a life long bus pass, which was declined as inadequate.> Four years of litigation yielded nothing for client or attorney, medical bills were left unpaid.> Attny. Nepp has never explained why he would not request a postponement in advance as instructed, or why Judge was not informed at trial of reason for absence.

Great Lawyer! Get's the Job Done!

Doug was an amazing lawyer during our case with the county concerning our newborn daughter. He told us the straight facts and gave us the bad with the good. My husband, being a new father, was concerned that she might be lost in the system, but Doug gave us solutions and reassurance that we could f...ight anything the county could dish out. Doug got all charges dismissed and I could finally breath easier again and enjoy being the new mother I was. It is not pleasant being treated like a drug addict harming your unborn child when a valid medical reason was wrong with you. Over 15 doctors could not diagnose gallstones during a pregnancy because all they saw was a "drug seeker". Doug made them see a different person and I applaud his effort and tenacity in getting the job done.
