Nathan John Knoernschild

Nathan (Nate) is an attorney at Chestnut Cambronne. Nate concentrates his practice in the areas of employment law, business litigation, real estate litigation, and online defamation law. Nate represents employers and employees with claims arising under such statutes as Title VII, the MHRA, the ADEA, the FMLA, and the ADA. He also assist clients with claims for breaches of non-compete agreements, tortious interference with contract and prospective business advantage, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Nate analyzes his clients' business practices and procedures in order to identify and remedy deficient policies, contracts, and relationships, thereby avoiding future legal disputes. In addition, Nate represents homeowner associations, commercial and residential property owners, and lenders on matters involving real property including violations of homeowner association governing documents, breaches of warranties, construction defects, and foreclosures. Additionally, Nate also has significant experience advocating for individuals who have been defamed online. Nate not only helps these individuals utilize the relief available through the legal system, but he also advises clients on how to repair their online reputation. The individuals who work with Nate appreciate his guidance and counseling during litigation.

In addition to practicing law, Nate serves on the board of directors for the Academy of Whole Learning, a non-profit school that provides personalized academic learning paths for students with autism or intellectual disability. Nate also serves on CIC Midwest's Publication Committee and helps publish the organization's quarterly magazine.
