Alexandra Elaine Platt

Alex is an associate attorney at Greeman Toomey, PLLC. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota and practices exclusively in the area of Social Security disability law.

Alex has a B.A. in Political Science from Saint Cloud State University and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. During law school, she was a staff member on the University of Minnesota Law Review, won the “Best Brief” award in her first year legal writing class, and externed for the Honorable Robert A. Awsumb in Ramsey County. She also participated in the Innocence Project Clinic where she investigated claims of actual innocence made by inmates in Minnesota. Her volunteer experiences include clerking for the Stearns County Public Defender’s Office, the Federal Defender’s Office for the District of Minnesota, and the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota. She also worked at Tubman where she assisted victims of domestic violence in obtaining Orders for Protection and in family law matters. Prior to joining Greeman Toomey, Alex was a Fellow with the Ramsey County Public Defender’s Office where she represented juveniles in felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor criminal hearings.

Originally from northern Nevada, Alex currently resides in Minneapolis. In her spare time she enjoys watching the Minnesota Vikings and going to concerts.
