Eric Paul Mandel

Eric is the founder and managing member of Indicium Law PLC, a boutique firm focused on navigating clients through the legal, technology, and process issues related to eDiscovery, cyber risk, data privacy and protection, and information governance.  

As an attorney, legal technologist, and well-recognized industry thought leader, Eric serves on multiple industry policy and standards setting bodies.  He currently sits on the Steering Committee of The Sedona Conference, Working Group 1 (WG1), and has been an active participant on multiple drafting committees, including the 3rd Edition The Sedona Principles Addressing Electronic Document Production, and Sedona’s recommendations to the Federal Rules Advisory Committee on the pending 2015 Amendments to the FRCP.  Eric also served as 2013 co-chair of The Sedona Conference Institute’s 7th Annual “Staying Ahead of the e-Discovery Curve” Conference.  Additionally, Eric is the Chair and President of the Legal Technology Professionals Institute, an trade association representing consumers and providers of legal technology products and services.  Prior to joining the leadership team at LTPI, Eric was active in the EDRM organization, where he was chair of the EDRM Native Files project and the reporter of the EDRM Model Code of Conduct.  

Eric is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).  

Eric is admitted to practice law in California and Minnesota.
