Lindsey Erin Greising

Lindsey Greising is an attorney practicing exclusively in immigration law at Steven C. Thal, P.A. She is passionate about asylum and humanitarian cases, and especially enjoys work on appeals, complex cases, and written advocacy. Lindsey graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School with a concentration in Human Rights Law and is a member of the New York Bar. While in law school, Lindsey served in the Immigration & Human Rights Clinic, where she worked directly on several successful asylum cases, student taught the Clinic's seminar course, and helped to start a working group on pro bono representation for detained migrants with the private bar, the Law School and the bench. Lindsey won the Clinical Legal Education Association Outstanding Student Director Award for her dedication to the Clinic. 

Lindsey's practice is significantly informed by her experience abroad, inlcuding work with the US State Department, International Organization for Migration (IOM), International Labor Organization (ILO), International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), and various NGOs in Timor-Leste (East Timor), Tanzania, India and Italy.  Through this work, Lindsey has developed a thorough understanding of-- and passion for-- work with conflict-affected and vulnerable individuals.  

Lindsey is fluent in Tetun (the official language of Timor-Leste) and has a working knowledge of Italian and Spanish as well as some Portuguese.
