I got most of the work done and wasted a month

In Jan 2017, we hired her to help with k1 visa. Our case was straight forward because I have been travelling in and out of the U.S. for 10 years, working with a few silicon valley companies and we met in the U.S. The fee was $1500. We didn't talk to her in person at all. She only emails us. ...She helped file the petition. Form filing best described her work for us. and once it was approved, we were on our own unless we emailed her asking for help. My husband had to prepare Affidavit of Support himself because she went overseas and no one covered her. She only reviewed and signed. And with a mistake. Zero support on my side in Singapore. I filed the information online myself. Read through legal terms and ambiguous abbreviations with help from a friend. Filed wrongly once. Cancelled and file it again. Wasted a lot of time. I gathered all the supporting documents myself. Nearly lost my job preparing huge folders of documents blindly. Then at the interview... The embassy looked at my husband's supporting documents got rejected. The copy of marriage cert and divorce cert that we submitted and have been seen by her prior, was not acceptable by the embassy. The embassy told us to get a court certified copy for each. Then, we were told by her that my child needed not to be present at the embassy for interview. The embassy officer said to "You should get a refund from your lawyer" We got rejected in our first interview for 2 unfortunate reasons. I was in a deep emotional distress being a single mom. I had to change plan abruptly while had left my job, had let go of my maid, had made arrangement for the tenant to rent my home, and then I needed to put my kid back to school and juggled many things all alone. I cried every night. In the end, it was my husband and I who searched for free information from website online, deciphered UCSIS terms and search the world for reference number and put supporting documents together. So let me make it clear, usd1500 is for one-side service only. You need to fork out some dollars to pay for another attorney on your fiance's side. There is little support after the petition is approved. We changed the attorney to a new one to help us with green card further and we were surprised by the level of support we received from our new attorney. So, my advice? Please communicate your expectation to her clearly when you contact her. She may be great but may not understand ypur expectation on the level of support you think you would need for the fee.

K-1 visa

I hired Her for a K-1 based on her reviews and her quick response to my inquiry . From the very start of our Process We got a Request for information ? The reason I hired an Attorny was I had Zero experience and was somewhat overwhelmed with the process . The Attorney was paid in 3 payment...s All of which se got before our case was approved . What I got for my $1,600.00 was a bunch of checklists to fill up and return . My Wife and I did almost all the work . In her contract she says what she will do for you - What she does I believe is once she has your money some legal aid or student looks over your checklist you send back and fills up A few forms. The Attorny couldn't open Photo files I sent her and that's why we had got an RFE right from the start . Towards the end when we needed her Guidence She actually took off on Vacation ( probably at our Expence) And told me she would answer my concerns when she returned ?? I never spoke with her directly after I paid her first fee $600.00 She would call me back or e mail a day later . In my opinion she's a very poor choice - I asked for a refund on my case as she actually caused delays by not paying attention to detail from the beginning and she told me that my case was approved ?? This was all due in 90% to my wife and My hard work - It was a very frustrating Overwhelming process to go alone pretty much . Very Poor Service - Poor Poor Poor

Great help with K-1 visa application

We hired Deborah Weber for assistance with our K-1 visa case. She was very helpful with filling out the forms and answering our questions about the process. She was always responsive, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend her services for the fiance visa process.

Personally I do not feel she is helpful.

I had a k-1 case and the only thinig she did was file the case everything else in terms of preparing for the interview and regular communication during this very STRESSful process was a miss. When things got complicated, she went on vacation leaving us to fend for ourselves which we did and through... OUR own work got approved. You would think for the $1600 she charged us we would have gotten a compassionate and helpful lawyer. My husband and I (through no help from her) were tremendously disappointed with her services. That was our experience, perhaps yours will be different.
