Filing suit against Larry John Laver
Any former client of Larry "John" Laver should consider filing a legal suit against him for legal malpractice, fraud, negligence, conflict of interest, and/or fiduciary duty. These are all grounds that got Laver permanently suspended by the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Couldn't be more happy with Mr. Laver. What was supposed to be a simple custody agreement turned into an ugly battle. The mistakes go on and on. . .
First - he tried to convince me my lawsuit was not an asset in bankruptcy. If I believed him, I'd be in prison today. Second - he neglected to reaffirm my second mortgage, placing a $60 thousand lean on my home and ruining my credit opportunities. Then - - I learned this past week he neglected to ...
AVVO removed this comment because they investigated the comment and found there was no basis for the comment. She now re post the same comment (it was over 4 years ago). This is a Lutheran minister that did not disclosed her lawsuit at the time of filing. Once I learned of the lawsuit, I informed the trustee and the trustee took over the lawsuit. It appears she was upset that she could not get rid of all of her debt, then collect on her lawsuit. Once she was caught, she kept on saying her lawsuit was worth nothing, but settled for over $200,000. Her bills were paid and the balance was given to her. This is how it works. Being a Lutheran minister, one would think she would tell the truth and be honest. In addition, she feels that because she filed a bankruptcy, her home mortgage would go away. That is not how it works, If you have a secured loan on your home, you still have to pay the loan. All mortgages, be it a first or second mortgage are liens on the property. You may wish to get you information straight before you make such a comment. AVVO will probable again remove this and she will keep filing. I guess with over 500 bankruptcies filed with one dissatisfied customer who tried to cheat the system is not bad. To her: I wish you the best for you in your life, but there is no need to keep contacting my office for free work. There are plenty of other Bankruptcy attorneys you can harass.

Very Pleased
Mr. Laver did an excellent job for me. He made my filing bankruptcy go smoothly and painlessly. I have since recommended him to many of my friends.
