Exceeded my expectations

I hired Mike Davey for my chapter 7 bankruptcy and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from him. I met with several attorneys before hiring Mike, and I chose him because, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable, he was patient with my questions and really seemed to understand my si...tuation. Throughout the case, Mike was easy to reach, responsive to my questions, and handled everything himself. When something unexpected came up later in the case regarding the trustee, Mike carefully researched the situation and gave me great advice, which ended up saving me tons of time and money. While reviewing my bankruptcy schedules with Mike, I saw many exemptions he had found for me which I was completely unaware of. I had originally considered trying to file on my own, but in retrospect I would have come out much poorer. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike to anyone considering a bankruptcy lawyer.

Life Changer

Finding Mike to do my bankruptcy case is an enormous milestone in my life. One of the biggest things that was holding me back economically was that I had a degree but my degree required that I continue with graduate school. I was in a trap because I owed the school an amount I could not afford to pay.... Due to this they would not release my transcripts. Without my official transcripts I cannot go back to school, to be able to obtain a higher income. Mike informed me that while I am in automatic stay during the bankruptcy the school could not hold the transcripts from me because they would be violating the automatic stay. While I was in automatic stay I went to the school several times and they refused to give the transcripts. Mike was adamant that they were in violation of the automatic stay and contacted them. A week or two went by and voila I had my diploma and official transcript in the mail! This has brought me so much relief and has pioneered me towards economical freedom! That is really how bankruptcy should make a person feel, free and no longer held back! I cannot Thank Mike enough for his persistence and wonderful work on my case! I would highly recommend Mike to someone who is looking to file bankruptcy because he does not act in his self interest but goes the extra mile to make sure that you are treated fairly and justly.

Landlord Tenant Issue

I was referred to Mike Davey by my real estate agent as I was having some challenges with a obstinate and legalistic renter who would not leave my property. At first, I was unsure if Mr. Davey would be able to really help me as I could see his specialty was bankruptcy and financial planning and su...ch. However, after my initial consultation I immediately felt confident that my issue could be resolved and that hiring him would be a great idea. Mr. Davey was very easy to reach and always responded in a timely matter. I liked that he offered more than one possible solution to my situation. He offered several choices and helped me understand the probable outcomes of each of these. He listened to my needs and helped me reach an outcome that really worked for me. He was grounded and down to earth and yet knew his subject matter well. I am especially happy that Mike Davey helped work things out so that my unwanted renter left much sooner than originally anticipated. I, of course, reported Mike's work and outcome to my realtor. I highly recommend Mike Davey for help in resolving landlord tenant issues. I also know if I ever need help with financial planning issues, he will be the first one I look up, as well.

A very good lawyer, a very good man.

Bankruptcy is not fun, and it is something I never thought would happen to me. Mike was so kind and supportive to both my wife and I through the entire process. Our case was complicated and unique, and required extra investigation on Mike's part. He seemed to welcome the challenge, and always kept... us in the loop as to where things stood. When I would drag my feet and seem hesitant to move on because of fear or embarrassment, Mike would encourage me to keep moving forward with out being pushy. We felt completely prepared when we entered the courtroom, and felt completely confident in Mike's abilities to take care of us. He did! We ended up with the best possible outcome, and I believe it is because of Mike's hard work. Mike is a kind and thoughtful man that made this experience as good as it could be. It is not what I expected. I would recommend him to anyone!
