I will tell you what you need to know, not just what you want to hear.
I was born in Chicago Illinois. My mother was a waitress and my father was a carpenter. No one in my family had a professional degree. I graduated from Villanova Law School in 1982. I started my legal career clerking for Federal District Court Judge Miles W. Lord. After working for a consumer protection group for four years I started my own practice in 1987.
In over 25 years of divorce practice I understand the cases that can and need to be settled and those that need to be fought. I understand the dynamics of abuse, control and chemical dependency. I pride myself in the ability to prepare my clients to present their position before evaluators and the court.
The client's who come to me for a divorce already have a broken family. I believe my job is to help my client to provide a structure to mend the family.
Practice areas
I represent husbands and wives in divorces. My philosophy is that I work hard to settle cases so they do not have to go to trial. On the other hand I will not encourage my clients to settle for less than what they deserve. I also believe that there are two kinds of lawyers: Those that tell you what you want to hear and those who tell you what you need to hear. I tell you what you need to hear. I provide a sliding fee scale.
