Carrie Huxford Peltier

I am the owner and managing attorney of Peltier Law, PLLC. The majority of my practice focuses on criminal defense, immigration, and the place where the two intersect. It is a privilege and honor to work as an attorney. It is more than a job for me; helping is what I do in my personal and public life. The word attorney means “one appointed by another to act in her place” or literally “to turn to.” My job is to stand in your place, to take on your worries and fears, and to find a solution.

Originally from Indiana, I now live and work in Minnesota where my law practice focuses on criminal defense & immigration. Because I have been an attorney on both sides of criminal cases, as a prosecutor and as a public defender, I have unique perspective and insight into what it takes to win. My interest in immigration law originates from my experience living in Mexico City where I learned to speak Spanish while studying the politics of revolution.
