I was a passenger in an accident over 5 years ago. Attorney powell did nothing to get me the compensation that I deserved for my injuries. Everytime I would call her or meet with her she would ask me for the same information. I've never had an arbitration and was still waiting 3 years for her to sche...dule one with the insurance companies. This is the first time in my life I ever had to deal with a lawyer and this was the worst experience. The law firm she was working for fired her and I hope she doesn't ever practice law again and put people through this type of hell when they really need someone. I still have medical bills that have not been paid and are now in Collections!! I'm was so frustrated with her that I just gave up on the case. Hopefully now I will get what is due to me

I had a car accident over 10 years ago and still counting. Karlowba Powell was in charge of my case for six of those years if not longer. During this time NOTHING got done. I would NEVER recommend her to do anything. My experience working with her was HELL. Every time I called her she always would cl...aim that things were in progress when her actions showed she did nothing but make me wait. She might be a good person but shes not about her business. Her work ethics showed no improvements. Her boss at her last law firm FIRED her. The work she has done for me I have always wounder how or why he had even hired her. I recieved minor injuries from this accident - there is no reason why I'm still going to court for what she calls soft tissue injuries. The first two years she claimed that she had to track down the driver and the owner of the vehicle. I'm not understanding how that could be - when I had the owners information from the driver at the accident scene. I had the drivers information also. That is the attonerys job to get information from the insurance company. I had names of the owner and driver, address and phone numbers, insurance policy numbers, ect. I provided her will all the basic information that she needed to contact and locate all parties. I have been in arbitration for over six years fighting to recieve more than two hundred dollars that I'm still waiting to get. Now that she was fired from her law firm I have to allow another attorney to get fimilar with my case before anything can continue. There are times where I would call her to get a update on my case and it would take her over six months to a year to call me back to tell me that we are still waiting for another different reason. The reason changed each time she called me back if and when she actually called me back. For many years I have forgotton that I'm even going to court for anything. This case has taken so long where I called her and told her that I have waited so long to get paid for my pain and suffering to the point where I no longer wanted any compensation if I had to continue to wait years to get it. I just wanted the case to end - i was willing to not recieve money that I was entitled to just to end the court case. If you dont want to be going to court for a decade and you want your case to be handle professionally resulting in a quick and fast result she is not the person to hire.
