Katie Moody is a divorce lawyer that I highly recommend. She walked me through the process of my divorce and was VERY patience with me as i was going at a very slow pace. I worked with Katie because when I met with her, she seemed very compassionate to my situation. The short story is that my ex moved my son from WI to MN without my consent and then tried to have MN overturn our 50/50 custody agreement. When we went to court, I will be honest, the judge seemed to le...an toward my ex initially, even though Ms. Moody brought up quite a bit of evidence proving how shady my ex was being and how his lawyer failed to follow basic filing instructions. I left feeling very deflated as the judge was leaning toward keeping 50/50 but with my time only on weekends and in the summer. The judge ruled in about 60 days and he was extremely fair, allowing me to have my son every other week. I think Katie did a good job outlining my case so when the judge finally sat down and read the enormous amount of paperwork submitted by both parties, he was able to determine a fair and legal judgement. Katie's familiarity with the judge, the court proceedings, and even my ex's lawyer was so helpful and comforting to me. I would recommend Katie and her firm for any family law situations that require a knowledgeable and caring attorney.

Kathy is an excellent and helpful lawyer, asked her to help me in a divorce. She was very empathetic, supportive, and knowledgeable in that area. I have had Mrs. Moody represent me in two separate custody matters. She is very professional, and very upfront with what the possible outcomes are, and won’t blow smoke up your ass about what she thinks will be the judges ruling. The first time I hired her, we did not get the ruling we had hoped for ...or the one we expected. However, this was not due to anything I felt she could have done or should have done differently. Just one of those crazy rulings. I still hired her a second time after this because I trust what she says and her abilities. The second time resulted in our favor. She has been well prepared every time I met with her, and each time we were in court. I have used several attorneys for different matters, and she is one of the few that I have felt completely satisfied with. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a custody attorney, and while I hope to never have to hire her again, if I need a family attorney in the future she will be my call.
