Laurel Sue Munger

Laurel Munger did not look at any evidence I submitted to her. Right from the beginning she told me my best option was to plea bargain. I was sexually assaulted by 16 and 17 year old teenagers. I contacted police for help and they did not believe me. They sought out statements from the teenagers ...who gave false descriptions. Prosecution had only the statements from the rapists who were minors and so I was charged with having sex with minors and exposure of genitals (a felony). Laurel Munger told me it was not a crime based on intent and that I was automatically at fault and my best bet was to plea bargain. I would not agree to plea bargaining and maintained my position. Ms Munger would not listen to me, she scolded me for not agreeing to the offers made and she routinely told me I was liable. She would not return my calls for days. Eventually I retained a different attorney who met with prosecution and presented the evidence that had sat in Ms Munger's office for seven months. The case was promptly dismissed - all charges dropped and investigation initiated on other parties. Ms Munger provides very poor representation.
