William “Will” McKinley joined the Firm in March of 2013 and is a Shareholder practicing with Menn’s Business Practice Group. Though born and raised in the cornfields of Western Illinois, Will has been proud to call Northeast Wisconsin home for over a decade. Prior to joining the Firm, Will practiced commercial litigation with a well-respected law firm in Green Bay for several years. As a graduate (with honors) of both Marquette University undergraduate and law school, while the rest of state bleeds red, Will bleeds blue and gold. During his law school experience, Will served as a judicial intern to the Hon. William C. Griesbach, Federal District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin (Green Bay); clerked for law firms in Appleton and Green Bay; and served as a judicial intern with the Brown County Court Commissioner’s Office. Will devotes a large portion of his legal practice towards serving his business and corporate clients, especially those in the medical and dental fields, dealing with contract, real estate, corporate, employment, and sale/acquisition issues. Will also has significant commercial litigation experience, dealing with a wide variety of cases in small-claims, state circuit, and federal district court, along with the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Will also has appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme court

In 2016, Will was recognized as a “Future 15” Young Professional by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, and has been selected as a Super Lawyer – Rising Star in both 2017 & 2018 in the fields of healthcare law and business litigation.

Prior to practicing law, Will served a two-year stint as a corps member with Teach for America, serving as a high school special education teacher in Crownpoint, N.M. Will, his wife, Gretchen, and their five young children currently reside in Appleton.
