Todd A. Slagter

After graduating from the University of Denver with a J.D and LL.M in Taxation in 2000, Todd practiced law in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for six years before moving with his family to Oshkosh in 2006. Prior to joining Di Renzo & Bomier, Todd was affiliated with an Oshkosh law firm for a number of years handling their estate planning, tax, probate and trust administration, and elder law matters.

Many people comment that one of Todd's most important traits is his personable demeanor and ability to connect with his clients. Some of that stems from Todd's belief in prompt and clear communication with his clients. Another part is Todd's devotion to educating his clients about their options and making sure his clients understand what is being done on their behalf. Yet another part, as evidenced by his work on The Preventive Law Reporter in law school, is Todd's desire to practice preventive law: the ability to plan in order to minimize potential problems in the future. As the old saying goes, failing to plan is planning to fail.

When Todd is not busy assisting his clients, he likes to be involved in Oshkosh and the surrounding communities through his various nonprofit board and volunteer positions with organizations such as the Oshkosh Area United Way, Mercy Health Foundation Board, and Clarity Care, Inc., to name a few. He also enjoys both participating in various sports such as basketball, golf, soccer, and softball, as well as attending sporting events or other activities in the area. Additionally, Todd loves to stay active by spending time with his young family.
