Buyer Beware
Avoid Ryan as your lawyer at all costs. My boyfriend hired Ryan awhile back because he was pressed for time and no other lawyers were available. Ryan did not care about even trying to provide him with competent legal representation, and actually advised him to just settle out of court. We have talked...
I always strive for the best legal result possible for every client. Unfortunately though, not every case can reach the perfect result a client is seeking. The reality is that all cases are ultimately driven by the facts of the matter at hand and the law as it applies to those facts. My goal for every client is to gain a full understanding of the circumstances through my investigation process, and then provide the client with an honest assessment of their options so they are able to weigh the risks of continued litigation for themselves from a fully informed viewpoint. Sometimes the advice that my experience dictates is not the answer a client wants to hear. However, I believe that I owe it to my clients to offer honest advice that I believe is in their best interests. Once I have done so, if they disagree with my advice from a fully informed perspective, my job is to support them in their decision by doing everything in my ethical power to accomplish their goals. Ultimately though, the decision of whether to continue with litigation or resolve the case is the client's alone. I am unable to comment on this specific case because I do not know which client it is in reference to. More importantly, I would never comment on any client's case publicly given the Attorney-Client privilege. However, if your boyfriend would like to discuss his case further and any questions he may have about it or his result, he is more than welcome to call me.
