Divorce is not easy and having the extra pressure of the law requirements and necessary filing she really did take an incredible amount of pressure off of me. After 8.5 years, I was required to get an Attorney and I was terrified about the situation. I didn't even know where to begin in finding a family court Attorney so I googled for local Attorneys and Michelle Achterberg appeared. I read reviews (on this website) and took the plunge. I couldn't be ...happier with not only my final result, but the professionalism and approach she took with my case. She was straight forward and realistic with me. She explained what we could and couldn't do and what rights we had backing us statutorily. We took the ball and kept it in our court and were prepared to press harder if needed. Thankfully, in my situation, we didn't need to, and it concluded very quickly. I was lucky in this regard. If necessary, I would have continued to use Attorney Achterberg throughout my case. I can't agree more with every positive comment mentioned about her and Malori. She was fair in pricing and I felt like she made my case a priority. She was timely with everything we needed to do, whether it be contacting the other Attorney, filing paperwork with the Court, or writing up our own proposals. I always felt welcomed to contact her with questions, concerns, or ideas, and she responded very quickly. Our conversations were not rushed and I never felt like I was competing for time on my case. I felt as though she recognized every conversation, every minute, was important to me and my case and she respected this. I'm hopeful I won't need to hire anybody in the future, but if I do, I will absolutely return to this office and I can't speak highly enough of this experience.
