Biography
Attorney Andrew Schmidt is the third generation to practice law in Marathon County and in North and nort-central Wisconsin.
Having watched and listened to many other attorneys, Attorney Schmidt has a more straight forward and common sense feel for his practice of law. He favors low conflict decisions but is not afraid to "turn up the volume" when necessary.
Client's concerns, fears and anxieties are to be understood and the utmost empathy needs to be given.
A dying parent, a child who is taken by his or her parent, a boundary dispute or the accounting nightmare of a probate estate create VERY high stress. Attorney Schmidt really tries to lessen these tough moments and will spend all the time necessary to explain legal concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
Attorney Schmidt is married with a child in college. He is on the board of 6 non-profit agencies and is pro bono corporate counsel for the Humane Society of Marathon County. An accomplished Toastmaster (17 years) and public speaker, Attorney Schmidt frequently provides educational and informative seminars on estate planning, special needs trusts, landlord & tenant, Wisconsin logging laws and much more.
