Stellar.... Lawyer Extraordinaire

I was at a loss as to how to find a lawyer for a 2nd OWI. On my own, clueless, stricken, and confused I methodically reviewed the small jungle of “DUI lawyers near me” online. Did I even really need a lawyer? I can't afford a lawyer. I don't even make a living wage. And if I do get a lawyer, how... do I find one I can trust? I could get a second job to pay a lawyer but how do I know I'm not going to get ripped off? When I came across Stephen Johnson's profile........ “Active Scout leader” (I was a scout leader), “Council Board Member” (people like him well enough to vote him in) and “Elderly Housing Board” (a cause near and dear to my heart) I just had that feeling he was the one that could help me. With a little more research I found that Mr. Johnson was admitted to the United States Supreme Court, he is the only Attorney admitted to the Federal Courts in southern Door County, and is committed to protecting client rights. He certainly does go over and above! I reached out for a telephone consultation and Mr. Johnson did not disappoint. All of my questions (see above) were answered plus so many more. Mr Johnson talked things through with me, talked things out with me, stopped to give me his full attention and listen to me every time I started talking (!) and was honest with me. Unfortunately, I live too far away to retain his services. But I will never forget this man and what he did for me. He gave me my confidence back. A true steward of the people.

Excellent attorney; knowledgeable & experienced

I consulted Atty Stephen Johnson in a matter regarding my son & DUI related charges. He took the time to explain the situation to me as well as suggesting actions to take. He also explained in detail Occupational License acquisition, BAC stats, Interlock Devices, & fines. If we hire an attorney for t...his matter, we will hire Stephen Johnson!

Highly recommend Attorney Johnson

Attorney Johnson has done my taxes every year for me. I am always pleased with the results and my refunds always arrive quickly. He is an excellent attorney for criminal cases from others that I know that have hired him and I highly recommend him as well for taxes.

Worst Lawyer ever

This lawyer gets his clients the worst deals ever. He goes for whatever he can get easily. Now we have to pay a good criminal lawyer to appeal the decisions. Going to cost a lot of money because he did not do his job in the first place. I have known five other clients of his and each one got the shaf...t. He has shown up in court in slippers. Carrying stacks of client files which he dropped on the courtroom floor. Very friendly to you & will spend a lot of time talking to you but will get you the worst plea bargain in court that will haunt you forever.

I work very hard at representing my clients and take this comment quite seriously. The client or incident do not come to mind but this is not characteristic of my practice. Their are several other attorneys in the area with my name and perhaps this comment was really meant for another lawyer. One has been disciplied by the State Bar. I do not really plea bargain in the true sense and never have. I believe in strengthing our case and any offer will then be better. If the prosecutor makes an offer I give it to the client and they make up their own mind. When I take a case I do it understanding from the beginning that this needs to be prepared for trial and for winning the case. I never wore slippers to court. I would hope this person can get his appeal heard. I wish you more success and more satisfaction than the system has given you to date.
