Max Neuhaus is a partner in the firm specializing in wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, business, and real estate. Aside from his private practice, Max serves as a Wisconsin Supreme Court appointed Special Investigator, as well as a Judge appointed trustee, mediator, and guardian ad litem in cases where children have been injured. Over the years, Max has served the community as President of the River Falls Chamber of Commerce, President of the Pierce County Economic Development Corporation, President of the St. Croix Valley Bar Association, and President of the St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice Program.

Max appears in the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 editions of Super Lawyers Magazine and has also been inducted into the Wisconsin Pro Bono Honor Society multiple times. Max currently sits on the Editorial Board of Wisconsin Lawyer Magazine and the River Falls Economic Development Corporation and is a current nominee in the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers in America for his Trusts and Estate practice.

Easy to work with!

Great Listener

I was fortunate to work with Attorney Neuhaus in a professional setting as a prosecutor for a municipal court . Max was always open minded as he listened to individuals explain their stories. He treated everyone the same. Individuals that he met with walked away feeling good about their experience even though it may not have gone the way they had intended. Away from work, Max is a great community member. He is extremely passionate in his beliefs towards the betterment of our community. Most important Max is a good friend. Honest and Trustworthy

We have used Max to help with both business and personal matters. Business Acquisition

Max handled a recent business acquisition for us, as well as some other minor items in the past. He was able to work with our hurry-up, now wait ,now hurry-up process, ultimately putting the deal together in a fairly quick timeframe. He was also able to keep other minor issues, well, minor - answering questions in a concise, straightforward manner, giving us practical advice we could use.

Max has worked on my business incorporation (including Articles of Incorporation), investor contracts, estate planning, living will, commercial real estate dealings, as well as served on my business advisory team. My overall impression of him is that he has the utmost integrity and is a straight shooter. He will always let you know if you have a losing hand and has his client's best interest at heart. An excellent lawyer that I trust with my family business.

He helped me with financial hardship documents with my house, represented me in my divorce and helped me with setting up my will and legal documents for when I die to make it easier for my kids. Would highly recommend!!

I was given Maxs name from someone so I set up a consultation with him! In dealing with the business at hand Max also informed me of other actions I could take that would significantly benefit my family! Throughout the process Max followed up with emails as well as phone calls! Max is always willing to give advice and point you in the right direction! Able to make complex issues simple

Max is such a pleasure to work with. He is able to look at the big picture of what you are trying to accomplish, then break things down into simple logical steps that no longer seem overwhelming. After our first meeting, I knew I was in good hands and that everything would be taken care of. Prompt, courteous,and responsive.

I hired Max to negotiate a business contract he also has done my estate planning and living will. Max is great to work with. He is clear and concise. When you have questions he takes the time to make sure you understand what is going on. Max's authenticity and compassion is refreshing to work with in today's world. He is the only lawyer that I've worked with that is more concerned about you than what time it is. I have exclusively recommended Max to friends and colleagues. Another happy client of Max Neuhaus'

Seeking legal advice and council can be intimidating. Max takes all of the anxiety away from the client away by setting them as ease and offering council in terms a novice can understand. I was very impressed how responsive he was to my needs by replying to my e-mails at times that were convenient to me and when other attorneys would not normally be working.
