My situation was a slip and fall at the apartment complex I lived in. At first the company whom ran the apartment complex refused to do anything. So, I went to renters’ right’s and they would not take a slip and fall case. I was actually told the answer was to move. This took me back for a momen...t, but did not stop me. I did some more research and found the place I needed to write my concern was the “Department of Agriculture”. After the letter the company then emailed me to have the bills sent to the insurance company. By this time approximately a year and a half passed since the slip and fall and the bill was still not being taken care of.
