Excellent Lawyer

Todd did an excellent job handling my OWI/Refusal case. In an extremely stressful time for me, he made it as simple as could be. We discussed what kind of a plea I wanted if he didn't think we could win the case after reviewing the evidence. Then he went out and got me a better plea deal. Refusal dis...missed and minimums on the OWI.

Most diligent, hardworking attorney I have every met! I got the outcome I wanted and so much more!

I had a very bright future with the world at my hands, but then I got into trouble with the law for the first time ever. I was scared and confused not to mention I did not know where to turn or who I could trust telling this incident to without harsh criticism. Over a year and half ago I was put in... a position of trust to handle money for a friend and I took advantage of that position and borrowed money without consent when I was short on funds with every intent to pay it back as soon as possible. Little did I think that my friend would find out before I got a chance to put the money back into the account. After speaking with her she was irrate at what I had done and immediately filed a police report about the situation. I saw my whole future flash good bye before my eyes with an upcoming commission into the military, my future with law school, and community ties along with future jobs... All that would be lost because of one stupid situation. The next day I was going to speak with her and found out from a third party I was to have no contact with her and made the mistake of being told the investigating officer wanted to speak with me. I then proceeded to the police station to tell the officer everything that had happened and what I did. I felt that I could trust this officer since I had never been in trouble before and he seemed to be genuinely kind. I learned from this experience that when in question about being invesitgated about something NEVER EVER talk to the police they will lie to you and find a way to turn everything you say into a twisted story that WILL be used against you. I did not realize this at the time as I thought I was doing the right thing. The next day I contacted Todd which happened to be a Saturday afternoon. I didn't expect to get a resonse back from any of the lawyers I contacted until at least Monday or later. After about twenty minutes of speaking with Todd he advised me on everything to do. I immediately felt a sense of relief knowing someone cared and even though I had not retained him yet he was still willing to help! What amazed me even more with Todd's promptness to return my call was the fact that he was down in Kansas for military training and wanted to help. I hired Todd without thinking twice about any of the other attorneys I had contacted and knew I was making the right decision. I hired Todd to my case because I felt at ease knowing he was an Army JAG attorney/officer which is the career path I was heading down and knew my future was in jeopardy. Todd understood what a conviction would do with my military career. Todd go right to work on my case contacting the investigating officer on the case to see if it could be minimized. After the officer refused not to send the case to the DA Todd already had a Plan B which included sitting down with the DA for a precharge conference. After the case had been assigned a DA Todd got in touch with the prosecuting attorney and worked out an agreement for a pre charge diversion which meant that I would not be charged for the crime I committed given I follow a set of strict conditions. To only other thing that kept me from getting this agreement was that the victim had to agree to the agreement which she did not so the case was charged out as a felony about 5 months after the incident. Todd kept me informed EVERY step of the way and responded to EVERY text, email, and call that I had. He kept me informed of all my options and potential outcomes. After 9 months of a pending case, four court appearances, and 2 DAs, Todd was able to reach an agreement with one of the county's toughest prosecutors for a deferred prosecution agreement. This means that given the terms of the agreement that everything is followed the case will be dismissed after an allotted period of time which will result in no criminal record! The feeling that I felt after my final court appearance was indescribable! Todd gets results and he never stopped trying!!!
