Very Professional

I hired Attorney Newton for a case I was initially very intimidated by. Attorney Newton's confidence, professionalism, and excellent communication not only reassured me, but made it possible for this to be an educational experience with a very satisfactory outcome. May have been slightly more expensi...ve than other attorneys, but I have no doubt that he was well worth the investment.

Weak advocate

Poor customer service skills which led to frustration, increased correspondence and increased costs. When brought to his attention this led to a break down in the attorney client relationship sufficient so that he withdrew from my case before it was finished. Seemed to have a poor understanding of do...mestic abuse laws which he did not explain to me.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
