Ms. Hoffman represents herself as a family law experienced attorney yet When I hired her to represent me against my ex husband over an alimony dispute she seemed timid and uninspired. I should have trusted my gut here...instead I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Instead as time went on my fears w...ere correct. She consistently worried about my ex husbands attorney and their discovery requests. Yet when my husband failed to provide financial documentation, Ms Hoffman just let it go. In the end, after spending over 5k and attending one hearing, I was left with no alimony and the only thing awarded on my behalf was $500 plus in attorneys fees to Ms Hoffman. My ex husband was never required to provide any documentation or explanation for a separate account he was consistently transferring money into despite this being brought to Ms Hoffman’s attention. And at the trial he continued to claim no assets despite Ms Hoffman’s awareness of this separate account. After a complete loss at trial, Ms Hoffman was more than willing to take more of my money for an appeal!!! Not in this lifetime!! No thank you!!!
