Charity A. McCarthy

I'm a member at Stroud, Willink & Howard, LLC and have been practicing law since 2003. My practice includes estate planning, business law and tax matters.

My experience in these areas includes:

•Creating individualized estate plans, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, marital property agreements and prenuptial agreements.

•Assisting individuals with estate and gift tax planning, administrating and terminating
trusts, and probating estates.

•Advising business owners and preparing documents relating to general corporate
matters, the formation of corporations and limited liability companies, business
succession planning, and the purchase and sale of businesses.

I was selected by In Business magazine as one of its "40 Under 40" for 2011. I was also selected to the 2013 and 2014 Wisconsin Rising Stars list by the research team at Super Lawyers (each year no more than 2.5% of the attorneys in the state are selected to receive this honor). I am active in my community, including currently serving as a community advisor on the Attic Angel Planned & Major Gifts Committee and being a past President of the Rodney Scheel House Foundation, Ltd.

I am a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Dane County Bar Association, Madison Estate Council, Forum of Women Estate Counselors, and SW Dane Business Professionals group
