I assisted my client in successfull ... y reaching an agreement on the repayment of past due support without a finding of contempt, increased and regular visitation, the change of the child's name to include my client's last name, and future support payments on a sliding scale (starting low, as my client was underemployed, and increasing gradually in a manner consistent with my client's anticipated income).

My client had received multiple violation letters over a few years. Some of the "violations" had been previously excused, others did not appear in the Covenants. Yet, the new management company continu ... ed to send notices. I assisted my client in receiving written confirmation that no current violations existed by, pointing out how most of the "violations" were excused or excluded in the covenants, and by assisting my client in determining adequate resolutions for others. This case did not proceed to court.

My representation of this client involved two cases: contempt against my client for failing to abide by a consent repayment order and an action to modify future payments. In the initial action, my c ... lient previously entered into a consent repayment plan. Since he was unemployed at the time, he could not make the payments. The judge found him in contempt. In the subsequent action, I assisted my client in reaching an agreement for future payments that was within his ability to pay (based on his current income and with appropriate deviations).
