I had an ongoing placement and child support dispute with my son's Mother, and I finally decided that I needed to hire an attorney. After discussing my case with other attorneys, I decided to hire Attorney O'Brien. I was impressed that Kellen, (a former schoolteacher), took the time to listen to my c...oncerns and discuss my options. I explained to Kellen that my son's Mother and I were not on good terms,(to say the least), and we could not come to a resolution regarding my son's placement schedule and child support. Kellen advised me that under the circumstances a guardian ad litem may be assigned to help resolve the dispute. Although I wanted to avoid the expensive and time-consuming process of using a GAL, I was prepared to do what was necessary for my son. Fortunately, Kellen was able to negotiate with my son's Mother's attorney and come to a mutually satisfactory arrangement, avoiding the expense and drama of prolonged litigation. I was very impressed that an agreement was reached despite the friction between the Mother and myself! Although Kellen reached this agreement, he made it clear to me that he was prepared to go to court if I was not satisfied with the final resolution. Kellen was respectful, responsive to my emails and calls, and genuinely concerned about my son's welfare. Probst Law firm provided timely and reasonable billings to my account without inflating expenses. Legal assistant Susan Krause and the other office staff was always responsive, polite and respectful. I thank Kellen for his help and would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking help with family law issues.
