My legal practice focuses on the following areas:

I serve as counsel to individuals, families, and businesses regarding appropriate estate planning, business succession and tax planning arrangements to carry out their goals and objectives. This includes advise on all aspects of probate and trust administration, including estate and gift tax return preparation, private letter rulings, and representation before the IRS and Wisconsin Department of Revenue.

I also serve as counsel to businesses on a wide variety of ongoing business needs, including organization and development of corporations, LLCs, and partnerships, business planning and corporate compliance, contract drafting and negotiations, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, spin-offs, mergers, acqusitions, and the ultimate sale of the businesss.

I provide counsel to nonprofit organizations and foundations on all aspects of nonprofit and tax exempt organizations law, including start-up; obtaining and maintain income tax, property tax and sales tax exemptions; governance and corporate procedures; fiduciary duties of officers and directors; continuing compliance with the complex federal and state regulations applicable to nonprofit organizations and their officers and directors; organizational change, mergers, spin-offs, joint ventures, strategic alliances, creation of subsidiaries and other reorganizations.
