Biography
Peggy L. Podell has practiced exclusively in the area of family law for over 28 years. She focuses her practice on helping individuals facing family law issues make informed decisions about their future. She educates clients on the applicable law and dispute resolution options available and helps them select the process that is best suited to meet their individual needs and goals.
Representation options provided by Attorney Podell include traditional litigation, collaborative divorce, and mediation in the areas of divorce, paternity, post-judgment matters, and premarital and post-marital agreements.
Attorney Podell served on the faculty, of the American Bar Association Family Law Section's Trial Advocacy Institute in 1990, 1991 and 1992. She is a certified mediator with over 100 hours of mediation training. In addition to her litigation practice, Attorney Podell serves as a mediator for the Milwaukee Family Court Mediation Services and the Ozaukee County Family Court Services.
Attorney Podell is past chair of the America Bar Association Section of Family Law (2004-05) and of the Wisconsin Bar Family Law Section (1997-98), served as a Director of the Cooperative Divorce Institute (2004-09), and is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin (2004-present). Attorney Podell has lectured throughout the county and authored numerous articles on family law topics ranging from ethics to marital agreements to tax-related issues.
