Morales was charged with Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child, which obligated the state to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the child was assaulted 3 times within the alleged time span. At trial the ... child claimed that she was assaulted some 15 times by Morales, but all 15 claimed assaults had the identical scenario: Morales assaulted her whenever she would go to his flat to visit his daughter. Morales did not testify. After 5 hours of deliberations a jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty.
