Keith E. Kopplin

My practice focuses on employment litigation and employment law matters.  I assist clients in resolving wage and hour class and collective action lawsuits, defending employment discrimination claims, responding to government audits of employment practices and drafting employment policies.  Additionally, I advise clients in a wide range of areas, including discipline and discharge, Wisconsin and federal Family and Medical Leave Acts, wage and hour practices, reductions in force, waiver and release agreements and affirmative action. 

I have given presentations on numerous topics: the use of social media by employees, Wisconsin's Personal Protection Act, employee handbooks, workplace violence, employee privacy, the hiring and firing process, the Family and Medical Leave Acts, discipline and discharge, immigration, affirmative action, reduction in force, unemployment insurance, the impact of H1N1 in the workplace, and the COBRA subsidy regulations.  I also present customized training programs for employers. 

I am admitted to practice in all Wisconsin state courts and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the District of Colorado.
