Timothy S. Knurr

Timothy S. Knurr focuses his practice on civil trial work in the areas of complex and serious personal injury litigation.  He has tried over 200 cases to verdict.   He holds the record for the largest auto accident verdict in the history of Racine County.  In addition to achieving the largest auto accident verdict in the history of Racine County, he successfully defended Wisconsin’s largest civil racketeering claim ever made.

Due to Attorney Knurr’s success, he has been recognized with several extremely prestigious awards, memberships and designations.  He is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and has achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for attorneys, AV-Preeminent. He served as District 15′s representative to the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors for five years. He served on the Racine County Bar Association’s Board of Governors for four years, and served as its president in 2005-2006. He was selected by the Wisconsin Law Journal to receive the 2009 “Leaders in the Law” award which recognizes the the 25 most “talented, dedicated and successful attorneys” for the year.  In 2011, Attorney Knurr was named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society.  Membership of the Fellow Litigation Counsel of America is only awarded to one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only.

The American Trial Lawyers Association selected Attorney Knurr as a Top 100 National Trial Lawyer for 2010,2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.  Specifically, the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 is an invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state in the nation.  This award is only given to those civill plaintiff trial lawyers who meet the most stringent requirements. Selection to this group is based on a detailed, thorough multi-phase process which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who demonstrate superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile.
