We have worked with Ruth over the last 10 years. She prepared and revised wills, trusts and powers of attorney for us as our circumstances changed. She would contact us if there was a change in the law that might impact our estate plan. In each case, she was delightful to work with, always explaining... in detail all the issues we were dealing with and what our options were. My family hired Ruth about five years ago to review and update my elderly father's estate plan. My father had just moved to Milwaukee to be closer to us. She used basic charts so my Dad had visuals to follow, and I admit, I referred to from time to time to refresh my memory! And even though our family is very close, she always had a private chat with my dad to make sure that her plans were his wishes. My step-mom also wanted to have her estate updated and wanted to hire Ruth, but Ruth did not want any conflict of interest so referred her to another attorney. While the estate planning process can be overwhelming I felt the entire experience with Ruth was terrific. We did not feel rushed and felt we were being given the utmost attention. Ruth explained the charges and helped us minimize them, gave us an idea of the cost, and stayed within that. When my father passed away last December, Ruth was again very warm and kind as she helped us through the process of settling his estate. She worked well with both our financial adviser and our tax preparer. Both were highly impressed by Ruth's creativity when she set things up for the estate so that we were able to maximize our inheritance. I would highly recommend Ruth for estate planning for any age.
