Britany Morrison

Britany is a member of the Business Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax Advice, Planning, and Controversy, and Estate & Succession Planning Practice Groups where she focuses on helping clients effectively manage one of their most significant costs—taxes—by advising clients on a variety of federal, state and local, private wealth, employee benefit, real estate, tax-exempt and controversy tax matters. By utilizing her former experience as a certified public accountant, she understands the numbers as well as the legalities associated with the various tax issues our clients face and approaches issues at every angle to help further our client’s overall individual and business objectives.

Britany Assists Clients With

• Serving as tax council for mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations
• Preparing and negotiating organizational documents such as operating and shareholders agreements
• Offering tax planning strategies on entity selection and formation, as well as tax efficient exit strategies
• Advocating on behalf of clients involved in tax controversy disputes with the Internal Revenue Service, and state taxing authorities
• Providing strategic advice and assistance in closely held business interests regarding business succession matters
• Drafting and implementing sophisticated tax-saving strategies and estate plans
• Consulting regarding the preparation of individual, trust, estate, partnership, S-corporation and corporation income tax returns
