Ann S. Rothstein

I've known Ann for several years. i hired her to represent me in two divorce cases. She was fantastic. I do not drive and she came to my home, She did this several times. Both cases involved custody and placement of my children. Both of my husbands were abusive, they fought hard in court, and they fo...ught hard to wipe me out financially. Ann was very well prepared, and very organized. She was also extremely aggressive and effective in court. I went through an extremely painful and highly volatile divorce with child custody issues, property issues and support issues. In the beginning I didn’t know what to do, my husband was being so nasty. I was so worried and unfamiliar with the process that I was scared that I would lose everything. ...I was talking to my company’s CEO about it and he referred Ann to me. I sat down with Ann for a free consultation and she was extremely helpful. She explained everything I needed to know so I decided to go with her. Not only was she always accessible via phone throughout the case but she met with me on my time when I could meet, including evenings and weekends. She was warm and caring with me yet very aggressive in court. She was highly respected by the judge, the court commissioner and other attorneys involved. I say “attorneys” plural not only because we had a GAL assigned for the kids but because my husband fired two lawyers during the case because he said they weren't effective. I personally think they were afraid to go up against Ann. The case turned out better than I could have thought because of her efforts and I am extremely grateful.

I was overwhelmed and shaken by my divorce case with the prospect of losing my children. Ms. Rothstein went the extra mile to explain my options in detail and taught me how to use my strengths to present my case to the Guardian Ad Litem. I work long and usual hours and she was able to meet with me... at odd times like the weekend. She listened patiently as I was highly anxious and repeated myself with numerous details. Ann came highly recommended to me by a friend and hiring her was the best choice I could have made. She was extremely supportive and available whenever I needed her. She’ll tell you how it is and she doesn’t mess around. She constantly impressed me with her guidance on how to handle things. The s...ystem is biased toward women in custody cases but she maximized my time with my son and I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. When it came to court, she was a pit-bull! It was amazing! Her rates are reasonable and she genuinely cares about her clients. All I can say is listen to her; she knows what she’s doing.
