I had a deeply frustrating and disheartening experience working with this attorney. From the beginning, I felt unheard and disrespected. He consistently overtalked me, dismissed my concerns, and spoke in a belittling tone—making what was already a stressful situation even more overwhelming. In mat...ters involving child custody, it’s essential to have an attorney who is both compassionate and committed to advocating in the best interest of their client and the child. Unfortunately, I did not feel that was the case here. His behavior, both in one-on-one meetings and during sessions with other attorneys, was unprofessional and at times, outright rude. I left every interaction feeling more stressed and unsupported. Despite the significant time and money I invested, I was repeatedly met with disrespect and a lack of genuine care. This experience was not only disappointing but at times humiliating. I strongly urge others to think twice before hiring this attorney—especially for sensitive matters involving children. I would never recommend his services based on my experience.

I am so glad I found Attorney Neterval he helped me and my daughter so much in my custody battle. I loved his honesty and the fact that he doesn’t set you up for failure. He helped me in times that I thought would never end he is consistent, keeps in great contact with you and always responds back ...to you in a timely matter.I am now stress free because of his hard work and dedication that he puts in. I could not be more thankful for finding him.

I was debating if I wanted to do this survey considering how awful this man was . Very unprofessional rude demanding challenging money hungry and he didn't properly and fully represent me .Over Charging me . Taking advantage of vulnerable people . I probably would be better off representing myself . ...On all that I had to go through than I had him to add to on top of it all . HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND ..

This is seriously the worst lawyer i have ever came across. He will literally argue with you & scream at you about YOUR situation as if he knows what happened. He’s rude, arrogant, & doesn’t even try to listen to you. It’s almost as if he’s not even trying to be on your side. I wish i would have seen... these reviews before paying the flat rate fee because i wouldn’t have hired him if i’d known he was this terrible. There’s a reason why he’s always available & works alone. Did the intake on Saturday and was not happy about what he had to say during the consultation on Monday. He will jump to conclusions and talk to you crazy instead of asking questions to try to understand your case. You are honestly better off representing yourself messing with him. I fired him literally the next day. Lost $150 sadly but i refuse to have him embarrass me in court and will be finding a better attorney. He doesn’t even deserve one star.

I am a struggling single mother. I was left by my boyfriend almost 5 months ago because I was having health complications and it affected me mentally, I was having a hard time coping. I set out to find a job so I could find a lawyer I could afford, as my ex has a lawyer, who is seemingly just out... to mess up someones life even if it's not what's good for the children involved. I found Joe through nonprofit legal services and I thought thank God. I noticed right away that he was short with you and arrogant. I didn't feel that he looked into my case, I felt that he drew conclusions of his own off assumptions. He said horrible things to me regarding my baby who I'm trying to get joint custody of. He told me "I should've had an abortion" and that "I shouldn't have had sex with a guy that was going to screw me over." How is a person to know what the future holds? Especially when your partner seems like they'll always have your back? I felt that Joe was not on my side and he spoke to me like I was scum. He told me there is no way I would win my case and he told me I shouldn't have had sex with my ex about 15 different times. I ended up firing him and will be hiring a real lawyer. Try any other means of hiring an attorney before you settle with this unprofessional, arrogant "attorney."
