Paul R. Nowakowski

Attorney Novakowski (and his father) have been our family attorneys for years. He is presently handling my mother's probate, in past handled my sister's probate and supervised an out of state lawsuit concerning her death. He is a CPA and filed my mother's income tax for many years (and provided ans...wers to any of her financial questions). He handled the closing on purchase of my home, and will aid in sale of my mother's home. Since the average person does not close houses often, it is great to know my attorney has my back, aids in negotiations, pays attention to paper details, and even holds closings in his office. Completely trustworthy and easy to talk to. His style is calm and polite, he is not the kind of lawyer who is going to make a public scene or push around staff at courthouse (we had one previous attorney who screamed at people at our bank when she accompanied us to set up my sister's estate account. Never again, it was not cute or professional and she was quickly fired). He easily gets things done "downtown" as he knows everyone, knows procedures, knows the judges, and genuinely enjoys his job. Loves the paperpushing, the forms, preparing the documents. Has everything at his fingertips. I can completely relax and know he is handling everything for probate or any other matter. ie on day of my house closing, to my surprise, about a dozen people showed up with liens on the property (house flipper was low on funds). Attorney Novakowski handled it perfectly, crossed every T and made sure that every aspect of paperwork has finished properly. ie When my sister died following an out of state accident, he and his father were the go betweens for the lawyer out east. Kept us informed on progress of lawsuit, handled negotiation and details, and helped to settle the matter quickly. Took a lot of worry from my mom to know that she was not alone, at "mercy" of a lawyer out of state who she had never met. ie when an estranged aunt died leaving all family pictures to a neighbor for disposal, Paul, stepped in, went to Waukesha court, and I got exactly what I wanted, all of my grandparent's family photos. So when unusual situations come up, the Novakowskis have always helped us. Attorney Novakowski and his father worked together at the Novakowski Law firm until his father's retirement. Several of his siblings are also lawyers, in other areas of expertise, so he always has access to info. He is a family man, married to a physician, with children so very much understands modern life with two working professionals in familly. He recently moved to a new location, 1340 West Towne Square Road, Mequon Wi. A little hard to find in a business park, I got turned around.. The office is at end of the building with a restaurant . Our family had two previous attorneys. One a very inexperienced one, who was hard to push to get even simple things done, and the other was too abrasive to represent us. Not a problem with this attorney at all.
