Ted is a wonderful lawyer and person. He's been in the field for 35 years and it shows. He was always professional and friendly every step of the way. We hired him to contest an OWI when driving to Genoa City in July 2020. Between the body cam footage and Ted's excellent defense, the jury came out w...ith an unanimous NOT GUILTY. Almost 3 years of being jerked around by Walworth County, we finally got our trial. Ted completely changed my mind about lawyers. He was fair and didn't charge us for any more than what was agreed upon. Ted was always sympathetic and kind towards us throughout the process. The trial finally happened in June of 2023. Ted was able to piece together and explain the evidence in a thorough and concise way to the jury which was crucial to our 6-0 not guilty verdict. Highly recommend if you need someone to really fight for you.

I have been aware of Attorney Kmiec's outstanding reputation since 2003. His experience worked for me when I needed him to protect my drivers license while I was a truck driver. He also did exceptional work for my mother, and wife. My wife was in criminal court while I was deployed to Iraq, and he... was excellent, I wouldn't have trusted my wife's freedom and my sanity to any one but Mr.Kmiec at that time regarding that terrible situation. I did hire a different attorney for another issue once, and It was the worst mistake of my life!!! This other attorney charged me way more with far less results. You will not find another attorney who can give you as much value for your dollar than this man. I personally know many more people in the community who put their trust in his hands as well when they are faced with legal problems in his area of expertise. If you are facing a DUI charge in WI, you are a fool to think you that you will get it dismissed with any attorney. I know people personally who still had to face the music (serve time) on a DUI charge, and would still have given Mr.Kmiec 5 stars. I have seen the respect he gets in the legal community, as well as the local community. He is one of the good guys in and out of the court room.

He's a nice guy, but I was not impressed with his performance in my case. One charge was dismissed, but I was found guilty of my OWI. I wouldn't recommend him for this type of case. He didn't take most of what I said into account and suggested we could try the case in open court and "get it in appeal...s". Of course, that would've cost half my annual salary. No thanks...
