Great representation! Experienced, Professional, Supportive and Fierce! We hired Attorney Ward to represent my husband in a child custody/support case. He had been struggling to maintain very basic visitation schedules with his son because his child’s mother was consistently playing games and refusin...g visitation. Attorney Ward was able to prove my husband’s case, and we currently have primary placement of his son. That is such a difficult thing to do! Courts are generally more in favor of the mother when it Comes to child custody cases, even when the mother is in the wrong.These are very difficult cases to win. He was very patient with us, and understood well that we were emotionally invested in the results of his case. So, when we had questions or began to feel anxious, both attorney ward and his staff were great with explaining everything and putting our anxieties to rest. We spent the first three years fighting in court and trying to get by with cheaper attorneys, and even went without an attorney at all for a few months. Take it from us, it is much less expensive to just retain a high-quality attorney from the beginning rather than going to a high-quality attorney to correct years of mistakes after the fact! John was very different on our phone call than when we met in person in his office for our free initial consult. He was God-fearing on the phone, sure to be on my side and fight the concerns I had. In his office, he was a little less God-fearing and blunter. When the fee was discussed he said, "I dec...ided to try something different. I am going with a one-time fee that will cover any calls or letters throughout your case." Therefore he came up with the fee of $3,600. After that, we never had any phone conversations, and we never met to discuss my case. We met in court 20 minutes before the judge heard my case. Then it was over. I thanked him and sent a thankyou letter as well, but the overcharge just bothered me. It was not right or legit. Now I am requesting half a refund for services that were not needed or earned by John Ward. In checking with other offices the fee charged for my case is typically $1,500. I was overcharged and I feel taken advantage of in this situation. I have called his office twice. Talked with Melissa once and the other time, left a voicemail. I have yet to hear back.
