Lisa Lynn Holahan

I hired Lisa for my divorce proceedings and wasn't happy with her representation. Many hours billed were spent creating conflict with ex-husbands lawyer. Instead of working hard to get me my fair share she increased the conflict to the point we needed mediation to resolve it. I never felt like Lisa ...was invested in looking out for my best interests. When the other side would propose solutions that weren't in my best interest, Lisa wouldn't explain to me how it would negatively impact my settlement, she was to busy arguing with my ex's lawyer. She seemed most interested in maximizing her billable hours and my actual fair settlement didn't seem a priority. Towards the end of my case I had to tell her not to speak to my ex's lawyer without my authorization due to her indiscriminately communicating with his lawyer, getting in disputes, and charging me for them -- and then I would be charged when she would call and tell me about them. Nothing ever got accomplished when Lisa spoke directly to the other lawyer. I've subsequently learned more about the opposing lawyer and have been told they are very reasonable and there was no good reason why my lawyer couldn't work with them. Also subsequently I now see all the areas where Lisa failed me in my divorce settlement. My ex-husband lawyer charged almost 1/2 of Lisa's hourly fee and he got much better representation than I did. The Marriage Settlement Agreement Lisa wrote was so poorly written that I couldn't use the document in court to enforce the settlement. It had way too many holes and mistakes. Disappointment doesn't describe my feelings or loses.
