He earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School, where he served on the editorial board of the Marquette Law Review, honing his skills in legal writing and analysis. He received his undergraduate degree from Carthage College. Before entering private practice, he clerked for Chief Judge Alia Moses of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and Judge Lee Ann Reno of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. These positions provided him with firsthand insight into judicial decision-making and further sharpened his litigation acumen.
