The jury also found Alameda Healthcare and Rockport Administrative Services, LLC liable for negligence and elder neglect, awarding $918,500 for Doherty's pain and suffering. The jury found for defense on plaintiffs' wrongful death cause of action. The jury also determined that Rockport and Alameda Healthcare were guilty of recklessness, malice, oppression, and/or fraud in the commission of the neglect, and engaged in wrongful conduct with malice and oppression, awarding punitive damages in the amount of $2,000,000 against Alameda Healthcare and $4 million Rockport. Rockport, Boardwalk West Financial Services, LLC, and Shlomo Rechnitz were found to be liable as joint ventures with Alameda Healthcare.
