DISMISSED MID TRIAL: Harboring a Runaway Child

Client was charged with harboring a runaway child (a Class A misdemeanor). But, based on client's prior conviction for a different Class A misdemeanor, the minimum punishment was 90 days in jail. Clien ... t was NOT GUILTY, so we went to trial. The second day of trial, the State walked in with a Motion to Dismiss and the Judge signed the order. The case was DISMISSED in the middle of trial, and we didn't have to wait for the jury.
