The Experience Wasn't Pleasant

Mathew Boles also named James Matthew W. Boles will ruin your life more than the court system will. Why? Because hiring him in your defensive you think he’s defending you when in reality you never have a fighting chance because he is out to take all your money all while helping the opposing team! He ...sold me a dream and that dream of him helping my husband landed my husband a nice prison stay for almost a year! Mr. Boles bragged about his credentials in criminal defensive, said that he believed my husband was innocent and if we paid him a substantial amount of his set attorney fees my husband would get a deferred judgment. He never submitted any evidence that he asked us to obtain nor did he get a legit deposition from the accuser. He asked the accuser a couple of questions, her answer was: she didn’t recall and he left it at that. Never did he hire a private investigator as promised, Mr. Boles did nothing but send us bills to collect checks! Long story short he never even showed up to the court hearing and on that day my husband went to prison. This is not legal representation this is signing up for your own death sentence. What happened to innocent until proven guilty, not guilty to be proven guilty!

Took A Turn For The Worse

I found Matthew M. Boles through a mutual party. He told me he could help me with a felony charge, and that I wouldn't do any jail time. Matthew M. Boles failed to explain how the system worked, or give me guidance through the court process. He also didn't provide evidence to the courts, that would'v...e work in my favor. Nevertheless, Matthew Boles, didn't show up to court on my behalf, and left me hanging during an important time of my life. He's very good at convincing you to use his services. But can't convince himself to show up for court, after he's already been paid. If you happen to hire him, and he mentions no jail time. Start packing your bags, and be prepared to take a long trip.

You'll be better off

Attorney Matthew Boles wasn't good representation. This guy is not in the field to help you. Matthew Boles clearly loves money to take trips. In fact, when we hired him, that's all he did the most of. He didn't show up to a important sentencing, to represent my husband for court. His office told us t...hat he was out of town, when he clearly knew that he had to be at court. Matthew M. Boles, doesn't like to go to trial. He wanted my husband to plead guilty, and teamed up with the state prosecutors to have him rail-roaded. If you look at Matthew Boles reviews and other history as an attorney. He has in fact have been suspended and mishandled other trust accounts. He's been accused of not showing up for other court appearances and getting people locked up. Later, after I confronted him. He told me that my husband was guilty. So instead of letting the judge decide. He figured he'd give a helping hand to state prosecutors and judge by, giving them information and strategies to the state prosecutors, so that they can win their case against my husband. I have the proof that he worked against my husband. If you want to win and you feel you truly didn't commit a particular crime. I recommend you go see another attorney. Matthew M. Boles isn't a good attorney.

Ineffective assistance of counsel

Matthew Boles took my husband's case, he slacked on it, I assume because he had the high profile case that was more important as he skipped a hearing and an appointment with us to be there for that case. He did not even do one deposition. In the end he told my husband, after guaranteeing probation th...at now it is prison instead and told my husband to fight his own battle. My husband followed what Boles had told him to do, and ended up with a prison sentence, we appealed it and due to ineffective assistance of counsel the appellate court vacated and remanded the felony of the case., Which ended up dismissed due to no factual basis. The bad part is that if Boles had done his job my husband wouldn't be 4800.00 in debt due to sitting in public jail for 60 days over the one year sentence that could have been plead down to probation. After all of this we asked for a refund as we felt Matthew Boles didn't do his job. We met with Mr.Brown from the Parrish law firm THAT Boles is working for, he told us he would get ahold of us and come to terms with the situation, instead he ignored us, would return calls. In my opinion when someone gives you hard earned money to work for them you do the job to the best of your ability, unfortunately for us this did not happen. We should have went with a court appointed lawyer, we would have had better results as the court appointed ones we had for the appeal and for the reconsideration kept in contact and did their jobs. We also were not informed that Mr.Boles had been punished for taking money and not fulfilling his duties to the point he was suspended by the state for 30 days. If we had known this we would never have hired him.

unhappy save your money

Currently have Mr. Boles as an attorney. Doesn't seem to want to work hard for his money. Never even showed up for my first court appearance, but eventually sent an aid late. Doesn't seem to want to help me out. At ALL !!
