State v. Gerald Benally

OUTCOME: Mr. Benally with defense counsel plead guilty to the court and asked for credit for time served with no other punishment. The judge agreed with me and gave him significantly more jail time with substance abuse counseling requirements.

I prosecuted Mr. Benally for repeatedly getting drunk, trying to shoplift alcohol from convenience stores, and assaulting the clerks in Flagstaff, Arizona. This happened in at least 5 cases over the co ... urse of a year.

OUTCOME: We went to a jury trial where Ms. Tyler was acquitted of all charges.

Ms. Tyler was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in Mohave County Superior Court. The police raided a home in Bullhead City where Ms. Tyler and three codefendants were ... residing. All four codefendants were charged with simultaneous possession of pounds of methamphetamine. Ms. Tyler was merely present while her boyfriend and codefendant had already plead guilty to the charges.

Client was pulled over on a dirt road outside of Kingman, Arizona for an alleged "wide turn". He admitted to drinking and had BAC of over 0.15.
