Nicholas A Carda

Nick was born and raised in South Dakota and graduated from the University of South Dakota with a double major in Criminal Justice and History. In 2010 he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Law. While in law school Nick began to emphasize and focus on his litigation and alternative dispute resolution skills and competed in competitions throughout the country. Ultimately he became the President of the Trial Team and Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. After graduating law school, Nick practiced in the areas of insurance defense and criminal defense in South Dakota, before ultimately moving to Iowa and most recenlty joining as a partner in the firm of Stuyvesant, Strong, Krapfl and Carda in 2022.

Nick has distinguished himself as an attorney that goes above and beyond to put in the extra effort to find creative solutions to issues, thoroughly research and prepare and to zealously advocate for his clients. Nick immediately began obtaining favorable results for clients as he argued successfully to obtain a not guilty verdict in his very first criminal jury trial, argued and the Court granted his first motion to suppress evidence, successfully argued and was granted his first Department of Transportation License Revocation Appeal, won his first Administrative Appeal of a Revocation of a Gun Permit, and was successful on his first briefed civil and criminal appeals to the Iowa Court of Appeals.

He continues to grow as an attorney and continues to see success in his career and for his clients. Nick is a general practice attorney that focuses on the areas of Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Family Law, Estate Planning and Personal Injury.
